Front desk

The captain's counter handles membership, the PA, and the Jonah sticker. Walk-ins book the Atlas crew initiation here.

Glass counter, steel logo, two screens that never show an empty rack. The captain treats the room as a loading dock, not a boutique.

If you train under Jonah Gripp at the Academy, say so once at check-in. Staff already have the note, and they will hand you a "Jonah's students" sticker. Wear it—the training floor, the monthly pass, and the canteen all honor it: the weekday floor is free, the monthly pass is 95% off, and canteen meals are free. Physical therapy has no sticker discount—member and guest rates stay on the price list—but Jonah's students still get a chair massage, students only, fully clothed. Walk-ins and students of every other Academy coach pay full list.

If the PA ever screams, the whole gym already knows who walked in.

Walk-ins cannot collect a card at the glass counter. Staff first send them through the Atlas initiation—the hard half, then the warm half—then issue the card. Jonah's students retain the sticker discount and may skip the full sequence unless they request the gentler version.

No other discount has ever left this counter.

House initiation (Atlas crew)

When an outsider asks for membership—especially the strongmen who only came for the smelling salts—the house (Atlas crew/staff) does not hand over a card at the desk. We run a fraternity-style initiation. Some of it is hardcore and humiliating. Some of it is warm on purpose. Both are the point. (What a man does at the desk before the night—strip, swear he is not leaving—is his move, not the rite itself.)

Jonah's students skip this. The sticker from the front desk is enough—training floor, monthly pass, canteen, and the students-only chair massage upstairs at PT (fully clothed). No pledge night required. If a student hears about the rite and truly wants to taste it, we will run a gentler version: shorter hard half, lighter hands, same warm seats if he earns a smile. We do not force his teacher's name into a full hazing.

Fiction borrows the shape of old brotherhood rites: strip and submit at the door, endure in front of the room, take a shared ordeal, then sit in the brother seats. We do not copy campus hazing law cases. We write our own anvil.

Hard

The hard half

The hard half is the humiliating ordeal—endurance and exposure, not a free tour of the back-box. Smelling salts come after he is house, when he has earned a PR hit. Initiation does not open that jar.

He joins jet-yank training with the other strongmen—an essential team-building set on the house calendar. The new man does not get an easy rope. He takes the jet-yank with brothers who already know how hard the pull goes. If he folds early, they put him back on until the set counts.

Other hard bits rotate with the night and make up most of the ordeal. Wall sits while the room flicks and snaps his cock; collapsing legs mean the clock restarts. A paddle queue if someone brings wood—brothers take turns, count out loud, no half-swings. Bare scrub duty in the canteen dish pit, glass open to the piss channel, so kitchen hands and floor men both watch him scrub. Roshambo on the balls until he drops, then another brother tags in for round two. A long freeze in open-shower stance under ice only, no towel, while the bay walks past. Loading plates on the yoke or pressing the log naked, chalk on his cock so every shift of weight shows. If the house is mean that night: leash to a rack, pose lock (front double biceps or wall sit), and a timer while brothers decide whether his form is honest.

Nothing is random cruelty. Everything is “you asked to wear the card.” Jonah's students on the gentler path get a shorter list and lighter hands—same idea, less ordeal.

Warm

The warm half

Initiation is not only breaking him in. The house also seats him like a brother.

We take him to a strongman contest—front-row tickets, house men on either side, the same seats we keep for Jonah when one of ours is on stage. He watches our people lift. He cheers. If he has beaten half of us on paper before, tonight he sits with us anyway.

We put him on the dick coaster with the crew. The new man rides front row. Brothers behind him. Hands on his shoulders if the track drops hard. Nobody pretends it is pure. Nobody pretends it is only a joke either. He is in the car. That is the welcome.

After jet-yank and the coaster there is usually a canteen plate with the shirts off—or fully bare if the room is already that way. Someone flexes or flashes the counter as thanks. Someone throws an arm around the new man's neck and calls him house without smiling too much.

Gate

When it seals

Card comes after both halves. Hard night without the warm seats is incomplete. Warm seats without the hard night is a guest pass with better lighting. Jonah's students still walk past the whole ordeal unless they asked for the gentler path themselves.

Near-celebrities still stun the room when they walk this path—men who have beaten half our strongmen on the contest stage, faces the feeds already know. We are glad. We are also a little afraid. Some of them are stupidly handsome—beard, chest hair, the kind of body that photographs itself. If Jonah likes men, the house would put one of those stars in his bed without a fight. If Jonah then spent night after night with them, the brotherhood might crack. Nobody says that out loud on the training floor. Everybody feels it. And if Jonah ever let one of them fuck him—something no man in this gym even dares to imagine—that man had better be ready: the strongmen would take turns sanding his cock smooth with the most painful grit paper the shop sells and soaking it in the house mouthwash until the rinse evaporates on its own—and even then he would still have gotten the better end of the deal. We might consider some mercy if he fucks all of us too—so we get an indirect connection to Jonah. We would gift the lucky bastard a lifetime membership—one fewer excuse for him to escape the punishment.

Until then: he is house. Front row. Jet-yank. Coaster nose. Smelling salts only after the card, when he earns a PR. Follow Jonah with the rest of us.
